What I’ve been doing today under the trampoline

This is a blog post about what I’ve been doing instead of writing a blog post.

Sadie’s cousin Cruz is visiting for the week and we’ve been keeping really busy. Today they jumped on the trampoline for a long long time. Long enough for me to figure out how cool it would be to get my camera and lay down underneath it. I’m sure I’m not the first person to think of this. It makes for a weird almost fetus-like (think 2001 Space Odyssey) effect when they put their faces close to the fabric to look at me. I tried different angles with the light and different depths of field. The dirty cat prints were adding another layer of dimension. I think these first two photos, when they were crawling like animals, were the most successful for interesting portraits. And the last two photos in B&W are most successful for general weirdness.
